Back home with a new plan

Overnight, we were pretty impressed with how well the room was sound-isolated from the airport.  The super-thick glass really did its job. Unfortunately, they didn't do much sound-insulating in the hallway or the rooms next door. There was an amorous and really loud pair next to us.  Let's just say that based on her reactions, he should walk proudly today.

We got up this morning and enjoyed our breakfast from Carlo's - well, I did.  Arlona had some leftover cheesecake from Junior's that I didn't finish last night.  No judgment!

After breakfast, we checked out the rooftop pool.  they heat it to 95-degrees and it offers an infinity-edge view of the runway.

We made it home without further incident after our Bermuda cruise fiasco.  We should be depressed, but we had a good day in New York, and thanks to the efforts of Viking, we have a new plan.

Thanks to the efforts of Sue, a lead customer relations agent for Viking, we are rebooked in a few weeks for Viking's "Iceland’s Natural Beauty" cruise!

Viking, and Sue, specifically, really bent over backward to produce a great outcome from this situation.  Kudos to them for their can-do attitude and relentless efforts to make the best of a poor situation.  Obviously, this is all complicated with the confusing COVID rules that destinations, like Bermuda, are constantly changing, and they are reacting as well as can be expected.

Suffice it to say that we're really excited about this development and are busy looking at excursions.

So, watch this space for our next adventure.
