A non-cruise excursion, and a change

We arrived early in New York and got lucky being able to check-in early at the TWA Hotel.

Our view is awesome.

The hotel is right out of the 70s, even with dial phones in the rooms.

We took the air train and subway into Times Square.

We had a terrific dinner of corned beef, pastrami, and cheesecake.

We stopped by Carlo's Bakery of Cake Boss fame and picked up breakfast for tomorrow morning as we fly early to Bermuda.

All in all, a good day. Until...the call...

Viking called when we were in the subway back to the hotel. Because Bermuda requires another PCR test when we arrive, and because we can't travel for 24 hours after the test so we get results, and because the ship will sail before that..our trip is canceled. Boom. We're flying home tomorrow.

We will be talking to Viking tomorrow about rescheduling.

Ahh, travel in the age of COVID.
